It's about loving the feeling of pushing flat out next to a sheer cliff drop, going for the gap that's too small and seeing how much air you can get.

If you are a true first timer, Dirt 4 is a lot more accessible and allows you to adjust the difficulty throughout the game. Dirt rally 2.0 is very much a simulator and will probably start the game driving into trees and cliffs (that's certainly what I'm still doing). The world's leading off-road racing series is back! DiRT 4 puts you at the wheel of the most powerful machines ever made as you face the toughest roads on the planet in rally, rallycross & landrush. The game changing Your Stage system allows you to create millions of routes at the touch of a button. DiRT 4 features a game-changing system called Your Stage, an innovative rally route creation tool that allows players to produce an almost-infinite number of unique stages at the press of a button. Your Stage allows experienced rally players to create longer, more technical routes, whilst newcomers can create simpler shorter routes as they hone.
Version 1.9 of DiRT Rally 2.0 went live earlier this week with some big changes and fixes to the game, based on your continued feedback since launch. The highlight was the inclusion of Oculus SDK support on Steam, bringing headset performance up to speed with the Oculus Store version.

DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series – Round 1 Complete
Round 1's Qualifiers of the DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series are in the books, and we're currently verifying the top times before formally announcing the qualifying players. One thing we updated this week was the World Series webpage, which now contains Leaderboards for all events. If you want to see how high you've come, check out the site below.

This weekend Petter Solberg's illustrious rallying career comes to close as he takes on Wales Rally one last time. Petter holds a special place in the hearts of DiRT, with many of his most successful cars appearing in our games over the years. As you head into Codemasters HQ we've got big tribute artworks on the wall at reception, with Petter's right there beside Colin McRae.

He'll be driving the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, the cover car of DiRT Rally 2.0. Alongside him is the man who guides all of us on a daily basis in-game, co-driver Phil Mills. Best of luck Petter (and Oliver too, though he's had a rough start so far), go slay that Welsh countryside!
Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi – Coming October 8
The next DiRT Rally 2.0 location is only a few days away, and as the official FIA World Rallycross Championship title we're delighted to have the new-for-2019 Yas Marina Circuit in-game. I've done about 20 laps of the circuit so far to get a feel; it's looking to me like the most technical circuit in the game so far. Tight chicanes, dangerous kerbs and tricky narrow sections will make this a real test for players.
It was a real test for drivers too when it hosted the opening round of the 2019 season, as this highlights package shows. Big incidents from Nitiss, Bakkerud and Hansen stand out but overall the racing was great.

This time it's Dan Evans behind the wheel, another of our super-quick drivers in the studio. Himself and Jon Armstrong really put the cars, locations and AI through their paces before you get your hands on them; it's always a joy to watch them drive flat-out.
